Cultivation of Finger Millet Crops
Finger Millet is also Known as Ragi, Mandua, Nagli, kapai, Ragulu, Nachani
Finger Millet Can be grown in a variety of soils. However, Clay, sandy and loamy soils with a pH range of 4.5-8.2 are suitable. Also the Soil should be well trained and well aerated. The weather temperature 11-27 oC is most favorable.
Finger Millet crop matures in about 95-115 days and yield 0.8 to 1 MT per acre in moderate climate and depending on the varieties.
